Teaching

So I came to Ball State knowing I wanted to become a teacher. My major is elementary education. I love working with kids and I love to help people. I think this career would be very beneficial because I enjoy to see peoples reactions when they learn something new and they finally understand a concept. I want to be a role model for children and I want to be a stable adult figure in their lives and be there for them if they ever needed me. I used to baby sit back at home and I believe that it was good practice for me in terms of being responsible and taking care of somebody.

  1. Amanda,
I feel the same way about teaching! I knew for such a long time, that I wanted to become a teacher. I always used to play school with my younger sister. I'm actually going into special and elementary education. That's awesome that you want to become a role model, it's a great feeling I'm sure. From what I have read you sound like you are going to have such a great time teaching in the future! Good luck!

  2. Hi! I also want to be an Elementary Education major. Ball State is known for this program so I am excited to get out into the real world and show what I can do. Being a good role model is very important to all kids because they look up to you. I hope everything works out for you in education.

  3. My major is Early Childhood Special Ed. I came to Ball State because of their Teacher's College too. I think I have always known deep down that I wanted to be a teacher since I was little. I can't wait to get into the classrooms and start taking more of my education classes.

I love working with kids and have also babysat for a really long time. It was definitely a big help for me also. Not only do I want to be a role model for the students but I also want to make an impact on there lives! I can not wait till we start working with them!! But the community services hours....ughhh!!! So stressful.
