California-My home town
All 18 years of my life I have lived in San Diego and loved it. I mean when your about 20 minutes away from the beach, what could get better? I love being surrounded by people, so living in a city with nearly a million people, San Diego is the perfect place to live. When I committed to attend Ball State I didn't realize how different it would be without ANY of my friends of family. I knew I would be okay on my own because I'm not the type of girl that needs everything done for her. I also knew that I would have to learn to take care of things on my own as well. Of course I miss my friends back home, but I'm fortunate to have made so many more friends here since I've started college. Thinking back to how my life was in California makes me appreciate the great things people have done to help me be successful.

WOW! I can not believe you came all the way from California. That is a huge change! I don't think I would ever get used to being able to go to the beach everyday, now to seeing cornfields all the time. I hope you like it here. Indiana is not the best state but it's not as bad as some people make it to be.
ReplyDeleteThats really cool. I wish I could have been from somewhere fun and exciting like California. No I'm from here...boaring old Indiana. What made you want to come to BSU? And its nice to hear that you have made a lot of friends. That would help in the somewhat difficult transition you had to endure.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to live so close to the beach, I have always loved the beach and everytime I go I never want to leave. I have lived in Indiana my whole life so I don't know anything other than Indiana. I have always wanted to go to California and see all the things that are there. Indiana sucks in the winter, I'm sure you will be surprised how cold it is because you are used to the warm weather. I would love to live in California but Ball State is my home!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky you live in California! I've always wanted to visit there but I haven't had the chance to. I've heard it is absolutely gorgeous. I'm from northwest Indiana which is by Chicago so it's a completely different scenery. Plus it snows all the time, I'm sure you don't have that problem in San Diego. I have to ask though, how is the San Diego zoo?
